| Gibson GA70 "Country Western" Originally introduced in 1956, this extremely rare guitar amplifier is highly coveted among top Gibson collectors who know of their value. Approximately 332 of these amps were manufactured from 1955 to 1958. Who knows how many of these amps still exist today? It can be assumed and very likely that some/most of these amps have been either disassembled for parts, destroyed in house fires or other natural disasters, too damaged beyond repair and thrown away in the garbage or just plain neglected by their owners. So its not unlikely that only about 150 or so of these amps still exist! And too, if compared to the rarity of the mighty Fender Broadcaster, the Gibson GA70 Country Western is just as rare if not even more rare! But what's left of them are still out there....somewhere! Perhaps hiding in someone's garage, closet, barn or woodshed just waiting to be discovered and played once again... These amps have such a great tone! If you are lucky enough to own an original GA70 and have the extra time to take some pics, please send them my way and I will post them on my site.
