| The GA55V is another rare and lost short-lived Gibson amplifier. Approximately 473 were made from 1954 to 1958. The BA55V is my replica of the rare Gibson GA55V. True Gibson-like fatness with creamy tube overdrive when pushed plus pitch bending vibrato on a separate channel. The vibe effect really mimics the spinning speaker type sound very well. It can be dialed in for either that thick, warble pitch bending tone or a subtle, shimmering chorus that adds mood and character to any chord progression rhythm as well as lead runs. The vibe channel is controlled by a simple on/off foot switch that's quiet as a church mouse when activated! Its also had a complete maker over change from the original GA55V circuit. The speed and depth controls are now mounted directly onto the chassis instead of the original external guitar mount adapter. $2899 BA55V features: 2 1/2 tube Vibrato with on/off ground foot switch Custom wound Heyboer power and output transformers (cloned from my original Gibson samples) New Jensen Jet Blackbird AlNiCo speakers (standard for builds after July '08) Point to point hand wired amp and vibrato circuit boards 1 watt carbon film resistors Jupiter and Mallory tone caps CE multi section and Sprague filter capacitors Lacquered cloth wiring Custom all pine lumber cabinet construction Now with original style "buffalo grain" textured top.
